Rita S. Ingle, age 78 of Johnstown, OH, formerly of Newark, OH passed away suddenly on November 17, 2023, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Rita was born May 11, 1945, to the late Jack and Pauline (Eisenacher) Boyd. She was the eldest child with two brothers (David & Jim), and she loved their sister. Although she never had a blood sister, she did feel like she had a sister with the love of her brother Jim's partner Carolyn (Earnhardt).

Rita lived life with a passion for her loved ones at the center of her soul. Her sons, John and Jim were the center of her universe, and that includes the adopted family: Duane, Angel, Heather, Max (Mitchell) and Brad (Muter), to name a few. She was a proud grandmother of a grandson and a granddaughter. When you felt the love of Rita, you really knew what it meant to have a protector in your corner.

In her younger years, she found a love for gardening and crafting, and this was evident the moment you crossed her threshold. Her garden was full of color and blooms that the neighbors envied, and she would gladly split a hosta to share her green thumb. Rita took her love for crafting and decorating to a new level...often sitting down making creations that are treasured by others. This creativity was also

found in the kitchen. She believed that feeding people was a true expression of showing love...and boy did she show it! Her food was divine! She would spend hours in the kitchen creating incredible meals all to be finished with a dessert to knock your socks off. In her professional life, you found Rita dedicating years of service as an Administrative Assistant where she was able to leverage her

attention to detail to help the companies she worked for. A hard worker was something that Rita took very seriously. She chose to work right up until the end because it gave her something to do.

Rita had a passion for fashion in her own way. She loved to adorn herself with just the right piece of gold jewelry to pull together her outfit. Getting her nails & hair done was a special treat she looked forward to, and she would simply not leave the house without looking her best. She had a smile that would warm a soul, a laugh that would light up a room, and so much love to give. She surrounded herself with pets who were part of the family. To say she was be missed is an understatement. The loss of Rita was leave a void in the universe. She was so loved.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Kati) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Brook and Mason Wilkinson. Preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers, David and James Boyd, son, John Wilkinson.

Visitation was be held Saturday, December 16th from 2-4 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home.
