Gerald C. DeWitt, 78, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday morning, August 17, 2023 at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus in Mount Vernon. He was born on August 12, 1945 in Meadville, PA to the late Leslie and Anna (Reynolds) DeWitt.
Gerald honorably served his country in the Army from 1965-1968. He worked at area golf courses.
Gerald is survived by his children, Amanda Wagner, Raymond DeWitt and Peter Dewitt; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Ellis, David Edward, John and Joe; and sisters, Joyce, Carol and Patricia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Charles and Carl.
