Dale F. Shoemaker, 88, of Mount Vernon passed away on July 16, 2023, at Brookdale in Mount Vernon. He was born on January 30, 1935, to Curtis and Marge (Spellman) Shoemaker in Mount Vernon, OH.
Dale was an Amity High School Graduate. Dale was a US Army Veteran. He loved shooting pool and playing golf.
Dale is survived by his children Lisa Parrish of Warsaw, OH and John Shoemaker of Danville, OH; grandchildren John (Shirley) Shoemaker Jr of Mount Vernon, OH and Dayna (Dana) Phillips of Mount Vernon, OH; a brother Don (Mary) Shoemaker of California and many extended family members.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife Judith (Stanley) Shoemaker and his parents.
Graveside services was be Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00AM at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Pastor Ben McKinstry was be officiating, and full Military Honors was be presented by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
