Marian Louise Schneider, age 84, formerly of Erie, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 3, 2023, with her loving family by her side at her daughter’s home in Tierra Verde, Florida, following more than a decade with vascular dementia.
On December 6, 1938, Marian was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John and Lucy (Adamsky) Rutkoski. She graduated from East High School in the class of 1956 in Erie, PA.
Marian was a happy caring Catholic laity and mother of three. She spent many days caring and cooking for several convents and monasteries in Erie County, after she retired from her own durable medical equipment business. She also was a certified reiki practitioner.
Having a green thumb, Marian loved tending to her flower gardens every year, and was most proud of her rose gardens. She enjoyed the solitude of her home, and spending time outdoors. In her younger days, she was one “hell of a dancer”, and loved a part of the Polish Club in Erie, PA.
Marian had a huge loving heart, and her purpose in life was to help care for others. She was fun-loving, and outgoing. She was her children and grandchildren’s biggest fans, and would do anything to support them.
She was be missed by her three children: Margaret (Michael) Campbell of Erie, PA, Ruth Ann (Jose Donnelly) Tucker of Tierra Verde, FL, and Mark Schneider of Erie, PA; three grandchildren: Scott (Angel), Kyle (Amie), and Adelyn (Travis); two great-grandchildren: Abigail and Liberty. Mom…now you can’t argue with us…we love you more.
Services was be observed privately by her family.
