Sharyn Kay Mabe, age 68 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Sharyn was born April 16, 1955 in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Donald R. and Grace L. (Page) Reasoner.
Sharyn loved life and loved everyone in her life. She would start her day at 4AM with excitement for what was to come. She delighted in her flower gardens and enjoyed landscaping her well-manicured yard with Steve. She was filled with such love, light and kindness that radiated from her. She was strong-willed and fought hard to beat breast cancer or tackle any obstacle that came her way with grace and courage. In her generous spirit, she was an organ donor and gave the gift of sight with the hope that someone was see the world with the same beauty she has.
Sharyn had many interests, too many to name, but it can be summed as the 3 F's. Family, Friends and Frogs. She loved her family and spending time with them was most important. Gatherings with friends and family were frequent and tons of fun. She loved watching OSU and Cleveland Browns football and celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family. Everyone looked forward to her famous baked beans. Any event could happen at a moment's notice and everything would come together. She and her sister, Michelle, were in competition to see who could have the most frogs. They are inside, outside and all over.
She is survived by her mother Grace L. Reasoner; sons: Jason and Keith Mabe; grandchildren: Aaliyah, Landon and Randal; soulmate Steve Lowe; and siblings: Mike (Shari Carlson) Reasoner, Joe (Linda) Reasoner and Michelle Cudd.
Sharyn is preceded in death by her husband Randal Mabe and her father Donald R. Reasoner.
Visitation was be Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 5PM to 7PM - casual OSU dress attire is encouraged; Graveside services was be held at a later date.
