Jeanne Marie Raciborski, age 95, of Lewis Center, Ohio passed away on Monday August 28, 2023. She was born on March 27, 1928 in Lynbrook New York to the late William and Viola Robinson. Jeanne grew up in Lynbrook, New York but moved to Smithtown and St. James, New York for some time before moving to Galena, Ohio in 2008. Before retiring she was a bookkeeper and graphic artist where she utilized her certificate in advertising design from the Pratt Institute which she received in 1948. She was also a member of the parish at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Sunbury, Ohio. Some of her hobbies included gardening, birdwatching, reading and solving crossword puzzles. Her favorite hobby however, was baking especially for her children and grandchildren. Her proudest achievement in life was her children and she prided herself in making all six of her children’s wedding cakes, as well as, many special birthday cakes for her grandchildren.
Along with her parents Jeanne was preceded in death by her siblings Helen Driscoll, William Robinson, Robert Robinson, Patricia Murphy, and Donald Robinson. Left to cherish her memory are her six children Barbara (John Craig) Raciborski, Janet Cramer, Christine Sieminski, Marcia (Michael) Sepion, Hank (Mary) Raciborski, and David (Maureen) Raciborski; grandchildren Stephen, Olivia, Courtney, Sarah, Hallie, Matt, Jennifer, Nicole, Amanda, Emma, Brian, Laura, and Alyssa; and great grandchildren Celine, Amaya, Cora, Xavier, William and Bennett.
Visitation was be held at Snyder Funeral Homes DeVore Chapel on Tuesday September 5, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm. A mass of Christian Burial was occur at St. John Neumann Catholic Church on Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 11am. Interment was then occur at a later date at St. Charles Cemetery in Pinelawn, New York.
