Ohio State Fair releases season four of 'A Fair to Remember'

COLUMBUS – Season 4 of the Ohio State Fair podcast, "A Fair to Remember,” is now available on all major streaming platforms. With more than 170 years of history, there are countless stories from exhibitors, vendors, performers and others who helped write the story of the Ohio State Fair over the years.

In an effort to document pieces of the Fair’s history, and its ever-evolving story, the Ohio State Fair partnered with Wessler Media in 2018 to produce the first season of "A Fair to Remember.” Now entering its fourth season, the podcast has taken listeners along on stories of first dates and love found at the Fair, through the trials, tribulations, and successes of many Fair performers and vendors, into the barns and out to farms to learn more about the many aspects of agriculture and livestock that are so important to the great state of Ohio, and so many other great stories.

Vince Tornero, founder of Wessler Media and host of the podcast, has spent many hours chatting with dozens of competitors, entertainers, vendors, historians and Ohioans, talking about their relationship with the Ohio State Fair. From love that blossomed at the Fair to the incredible backstories behind some of the Fair’s most impressive performers, to a walkthrough history that is now permanently painted on the Fair’s walls, to the heartwarming story of an exhibitor’s quest to shattering a Sale of Champions record, and many more stories, Season 4 of "A Fair to Remember" takes a look behind the curtain to detail the stories of some of the many people who bring the great Ohio State Fair to life. 

“The Ohio State Fair is a huge piece of so many peoples’ stories,” Tornero said. “Documenting these stories is like creating an audio time capsule to capture the history, the experiences, the work, and the importance of this great Fair. My goal is for listeners to feel as if they’re sitting alongside these individuals as they recount their magnificent stories that are thrilling, amusing, funny, and may even tug on some heartstrings.”
