Friday, June 2, 11 a.m. Recipe Exchange: Prepare your favorite dish to take on a picnic. Remember to bring the recipe too. We invite and encourage guests to join us as taste testers (no experience required). No need to bring a dish; just join us for good food and conversation. We always have plenty of food to share, and you might find a new recipe you like. Table service and drinks are provided.

Thursdays, June 8 and June 22, at 5 p.m. Ukulele Association of Homer: This is a time for fellow ukulele players to meet for ukulele practice and to share their enthusiasm for this unique instrument in an informal setting. There will be an experienced ukulele player in attendance to offer lessons. In addition, the library has ukuleles for lending, and all ages are welcome to attend.

Tuesday, June 13, 11 a.m. Medicare Discussion: Jason Barber of TLC Insurance will lead a discussion and answer questions about Medicare and the various options and plans.

Wednesday, June 14, at 10 a.m. All Together Now Summer Reading Program: Children of all ages are welcome to join us for the first program of summer reading with Foam, Fun and Friends.

Thursday, June 15, 5 p.m. All Together Now Summer Reading Program and Teen Movie and Pizza Night: Watch a movie with us and enjoy pizza. The movie is “Back to the Future” (1985), rated PG. Registration is required by June 14. Call or stop by the library to save your spot.

Tuesday, June 20, 5:30 p.m. All Together Now Summer Reading and Teen Crafting: Join us and make your DIY craft. This month’s craft will be a self-affirmation jar. Registration is required. Please call or stop by the library to reserve your spot. All materials are provided.

Wednesday, June 21, 10 a.m. All Together Now Summer Reading Program: Join us and help us welcome back magician Mark Wood. Enjoy the Mark Wood Fun Show for a funny and interactive magic show. “Let’s Be Kind” is for children of all ages.

Thursday, June 22, 10 a.m. Holistic Mental Health: Join Ulrike Martin of Creekside Counseling and Wellness as she shares about the holistic approach to mental health.

Friday, June 23, 10 a.m. Brunch and a Movie: Join us and watch “Till” (2022). This is an emotional true story of Mamie Till-Mobley’s pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till. The movie is rated PG. Please call the library to reserve your seat by June 22.

Friday, June 23, 2 p.m. Homer Historical Society: Come and join us for an informal discussion of local history.

Tuesday, June 27, 5:30 p.m. All Together Now Summer Reading Program and Teen Paint Night: Join us for donuts and art. Please call the library to reserve your spot. All materials and donuts will be provided.

Wednesday, June 28, 10 a.m. All Together Now Summer Reading Program: Join master gardener Sheila Geiling as she shares her love of gardening, creating leaf impressions and more.

Friday, June 30, 11 a.m. Book Club: This month’s book selection is “The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell” by Robert Dugoni. Reserve your copy by calling or stopping by the library. Then, join us for an informal, interesting and lively discussion.
