MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Park District is now taking applications for their summer internship program.
Numerous interns have been hired by the Knox County Park District over the last decade. This program provides students with hands-on training. Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university and majoring in natural resources, environmental sciences, wildlife nanagement, biology or a closely related field.
Experience in ecosystem management, wildlife management and interpretive programming is preferred. A strong desire to work outside in most weather conditions and a willingness to perform strenuous physical labor are required. Must be able to work independently or as a team.
