ZANESVILLE – The Zanesville Civil War Roundtable will meet Monday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at the Putnam Presbyterian Church at 467 Woodlawn Ave., Zanesville.
Darryl Smith will present “John H. Morgan's Last Kentucky Raid and the Second Battle of Cynthiana.”
Smith is the owner and operator of Walking With History LLC, which offers tours and talks mostly related to Kentucky in the Civil War. Darryl served as membership chair for the Cynthiana Battlefields Foundation, is serving as vice-chair of the Buffington Island Battlefield Preservation Foundation, and is helping develop a Civil War organization in Augusta, Ky. He has edited a series of letters from a man who served in the Fourth Company Ohio Sharpshooters, and has written a guide on the War Department tablets at Fort Donelson. Smith resides in Cincinnati with his wife, Jennifer.
The ZCWRT operates on donations and is open to anyone with an interest in the American Civil War. Please join us for this open to the public event.
