MOUNT VERNON – On Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, Eddie S. Rodehaver, born Aug. 24, 1942, entered into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith in the One who loved Him has become sight.
Ed’s final days were spent with family and friends at Brookdale Assisted Living Home in Mount Vernon.
Ed received Jesus Christ during the summer of 2006 and lived to please and glorify Jesus the remainder of his life. Ed loved deeply and always cared more for others than himself. He had a special place in his heart and life for youth and kids and always encouraged them in the Lord. He was a beautiful example of a “living sacrifice” for Jesus.
Ed was happily married to the love of his life, Marian Gayle Rodehaver, on Aug. 19, 1978, until her passing on March 15, 1991. He chose to never remarry.
Ed is survived by his sister, Karen (Bill) Mitchell, and brother, Chuck (Deb) Rapp.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Eddie will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28, at the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple, 21453 Floralwood Dr., Howard, with Pastor Joshua Lehman officiating. Eddie will be laid to rest beside his wife, Marian, in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.
