MOUNT VERNON – Betty Lou Mooney, 90, of Mount Vernon passed away Oct. 29, 2021, at 7:10 a.m.
Betty was born on April 14, 1931, in Grundy, Va., to the late Henry and Bell (Street) Blankenship.
Betty retired after 30 years at Mount Vernon Developmental Center as an LPN. She lived in Port Ritchey, Fla., for many years before moving back to Ohio to the Living Center and then to the Laurels.
Betty's children: Janet (Homer) Rogers, Roxanne Worley, Steve Mooney and Luanne (Roger) Frye; five grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice in Mount Vernon.
No calling hours or services. She will be buried in Grundy, VA.
