MOUNT VERNON – Knox County will have a non-denominational Sunday Evening Encounter (SEE) church service, as of June 27.
It will be held at First Baptist Church, 303 South Edgewood Road, Mount Vernon, at 6 p.m. on Sundays. The service will feature music including familiar hymns and biblical preaching from various ministers.
The next few Sunday evenings will be as follows: Roger Tickle – July 11 and Jim Dorough – July 18.
Many people have missed the Sunday evening services that used to be commonplace, so a group of concerned Christians decided to develop SEE to make this new ministry in the county possible. The organizers believe it will be a great opportunity for people who have to work on Sunday morning to have a church service they can attend.
