MOUNT VERNON – Members of Mount Vernon City Council invite the public to a face-to-face Coffee with Council during the summer months.
The sessions will take place from 9–10 a.m. at the large shelter at Riverside Park on Saturday, July 17, and Saturday, Aug. 21.
After being available via Zoom during most of the pandemic, the council is happy to meet with its constituency in person. Gathering outside should provide ample room to physically distance, if necessary, and guests are welcome to wear masks if they desire.
“It’s been a long 15 months, so we are very excited to see everyone and listen to their concerns and questions,” said Samantha Scoles, First Ward representative and chair for the Employee and Community Relations Committee. “This hour is set aside for the residents, so they will lead the conversation.”
For those who cannot attend Coffee with Council but have questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to council members.
