MOUNT VERNON – At 5:29 p.m. on April 27, officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to the area of 724 Follin Ave. in reference to a man allegedly threatening to shoot his landlord over an eviction issue.

Upon arriving in the area, officers established a perimeter for the safety of the residents in the complex as well as to allow for safe communication. Contact was made by phone with the individual, identified as 29-year-old Jake T. Cullen.
