MOUNT VERNON – G. Andrew “Andy” Ball Jr., 84, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at The Ohio State University Hospital. He was born on Oct. 14, 1936, in Mount Vernon, and was the son of the late George A. and Ruth (Bebout) Ball Sr.
Andy was a member of the Community Christian Fellowship and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School, a member of the Class of 1954, and attended LeTourneau University. He was a longtime dairy farmer and retired from Rolls-Royce in 2003.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Lee (Dudgeon) Ball; daughters, Bonita (Martin) Trent and Diane (Kyle) Garrison; sons, Phil (Lisa) Ball and Stephen (Angela) Ball; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Fred (Susan) Ball and Dan (Becky) Ball; and three sisters, Nancy (Jerry) Smart, Mary Jean Jake and Becky (Lenny) Fasulo.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Community Christian Fellowship, 23436 Newcastle Road in Gambier, with Pastor Bob Pelfrey officiating. Calling hours will be held at the church one hour prior to the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Christian Fellowship.
