The City of Mount Vernon will receive sealed bids for FUEL, required for the year 2021, with an option to renew the contract for a second year at the same cost, all in accordance with plans and specifications, now on file in the Office of the Safety-Service Director. Bids must be received on or before 11:00 a.m. on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2020.
The bid specs may be picked up from the Safety-Service Director’s Office at 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon, OH. (Also available electronically upon request to safety
service@mountvernonohio.org)
All bids must be sealed and plainly marked “FUEL BID” on the outside envelope, and delivered to the Safety-Service Director’s Office.
Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in same, and be accompanied by a bond in the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) to the satisfaction of the Director, or a certified check on some solvent bank as a guaranty that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Should any bid be rejected such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the proper execution and securing of the contract.
