MOUNT VERNON – Fern Elizabeth Boeshart went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 24, 2020. She was born on April 21, 1930, to John and Mary (Lake) Hiles in Mount Vernon.

Fern married Floyd A. Daubenmier on Feb. 3, 1951. He preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1971. She married Raymond Boeshart on Oct. 10, 1981.

She spent the last 28 years in Avon Park, Florida, where she felt the most at home enjoying the sun and riding her three-wheeled bicycle. She spent many years traveling the country in their motor home, logging well over 200,000 miles.

Fern was famous for her apple pies and steamed apple dumplings. Her children and all of the grandchildren, great and great-great, were sources of great joy to her. She was loved by all who met and knew her, and lovingly known as “Mimi” by just about everyone. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and will be missed greatly.

She is survived by 10 children, Leora Jean (Daubenmier) Dudgeon (Virgil) of Appleton, Wisconsin, Floyd Daubenmier Jr. (Paula) of Mount Vernon, William Daubenmier (son Jason) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Joseph Daubenmier (Becky) of Lafayette, Indiana, Bev (Boeshart) Kornack (John) of Zanesville, Dot Waters of Zanesville, Mike Boeshart (Debbie) of Mount Vernon, Clarence Boeshart (Lore) of Caledonia, Michigan, Janet Boeshart of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, and Thomas Boeshart (Carmen) of Los Alamitos, California; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Floyd Daubenmier, Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Boeshart (July 1, 2015); three children, Charles Boeshart, Judy (Boeshart) Haldeman and Joseph Boeshart; one grandchild, Richard Daubenmier; and her eight siblings.
