MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 13 defendants guilty last week.
The cases and sentences were:
- David Ralf, 63, of Aylmer, Ontario, Canada; improperly backing a vehicle; $100 fine.
- Brandon Ewing, 31, of Shelby; driving under a suspended license and not wearing a seatbelt; $200 fine on the first charge and $30 fine for not wearing a seatbelt.
- Tyron RineII, 28, of Mount Vernon; driving under a suspended license and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia; $300 on the first charge and $50 fine for possession of paraphernalia.
- Wayne Kirk, 59, of Centerburg; driving under a suspended license and not wearing a seatbelt; $300 fine on the first charge and a $30 fine for not wearing a seatbelt.
- Jesse Ervin, 29, of Mount Vernon; driving under a suspended license ($200) and operating a vehicle without a license plate ($15).
- Thomas Carpenter, 29, of Fredericktown; driving under a suspended license ($300) and operating a vehicle without two headlights ($15).
- Brittny Strunk, 25, of Centerburg; theft, 180 days in jail– suspended, and two years of probation under the condition that she complete a drug and alcohol assessment.
- Cole Hoeflich, 28, of Fredericktown; driving under a suspended license, 10 days in jail.
- Alexander Marti, 20, of Mount Vernon; two counts of driving under a suspended license, seven days in jail.
- Daniel Brown, 22, of Mansfield; criminal damage to property, 90 days in jail– suspended, one year of probation under the condition that he complete 25 hours of community service and pay restitution.
- Lance Roberts, 30, of Bellville; operating a vehicle while under the influence, $500 fine, 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended, two years of community control under the condition that he complete a drug and alcohol assessment, operator’s license suspended for one year.
- David Judson, 25, of Howard; failing to use reasonable control ($150).
- Alton Todd, 36, of Mount Vernon; operating a vehicle while under the influence, three counts of failing to stop after an accident; $500 fine, 180 days in jail with 150 days suspended, three years of community control under the condition that he complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and operator’s license suspended for one year for the OVI charge. On the remaining charges, he was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail with 150 days suspended, three years of probation under the condition that he complete a drug and alcohol assessment and perform 20 hours of community service, and operator’s license suspended for 180 days.
