MOUNT VERNON — A Mount Vernon man and his mother were both indicted on similar felony charges in Knox County Court of Common Pleas on Tuesday.
Kenneth Hodge, 32, was indicted the third-degree felonies of burglary, grand theft and having weapons while under disability.
Tammy Hodge, 58, was indicted on charges of complicity in the commission of having weapons while under disability and obstructing justice, both third-degree felonies, stemming from the same incident.
The charges all originate from an incident March 1, 2019, where Kenneth Hodge allegedly entered a residence by force, stealth or deception on Columbus Road in Mount Vernon and allegedly took a Smith & Wesson firearm without permission. He was not allowed to have, carry or use a firearm after being convicted of felony drug trafficking in Franklin County in 2008.
Kenneth was arraigned Wednesday in the Court of Common Pleas.
Other indictments on Thursday include:
•Uriah Langston, 35, Mount Vernon, was indicted charges of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and three misdemeanors; obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor; first-degree driving under suspension; and failure to signal, a minor misdemeanor;
•Brian C. Fowler, 43, Mansfield, was indicted on the third-degree felony of conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility;
•Cathy S. Messina, 57, Newark, was indicted on a charge of possession of L.S.D. and aggravated possession of drugs, both felonies of the fifth degree;
•Michael D. Esno, 28, Galion, was indicted on possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth degree;
•Tara M. Tomlin, 29, Mount Vernon, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony;
•Derek S. Weber, 37, Mount Vernon, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree;
•Jamie L. Allen, 36, Fredericktown, was indicted on the charges of receiving stolen property and forgery, both fifth-degree felonies;
•Douglas M. Blanchard, 52, Danville, was indicted on the fifth-degree felony charge of aggravated possession of drugs;
•Charles J. Workman, 47, Danville, was indicted on a charge of failure to provide a change of address, a felony of the fourth degree. Workman failed to provide written notice of a change in internet identifiers after a previous sexually oriented felony conviction;
•Kaitlyn A. Meadway, 37, Mount Vernon, was indicted on a charge of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony;
•Steven E. Cole, 39, Mount Vernon, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree;
•Robert A. Hubbard, 32, Centerburg, was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking of drugs, a felony of the third degree, and aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree;
•Brandon L. Shay, 26, Loudonville, was indicted on charges of the fifth-degree felony of importuning, a fifth-degree felony, and disseminating matter harmful to minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree; and
•Scott A. Llewellyn, 27, Mount Vernon, was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamines, a felony of the fourth degree, and theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.
