FREDERICKTOWN — Nila Jean Leedy, 83, of Fredericktown, died, surrounded by her family, Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at Country Club Country Club Retirement Campus, in Mount Vernon.
Nila was born June 17, 1935, in Mount Vernon to Ernest and Monica (Botkin) Williams.
She graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1953.
She was happily married to Edwin Leedy for 32 years, he passed away in 2012.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years. Nila loved bingo, playing cards, shopping, singing, and dancing. But, most importantly, she always put her family first.
Nila will be deeply missed by her children, Linda (Ricky) Knuckles of Mount Vernon and Kimberly (Tom) Daughriety of Florida; grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt Harrell) Soler, Jennifer (Terry) Gibson, Charles (Angie) Giehl, Preston (Vivian) Kershner, Patrick (Alana) Kershner and David (Ashley) Daughriety; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Dennis, Jim and Tom Williams; and one sister Donna Squires.
Nila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Karen Kershner; her brothers, Harrison and Ernest Williams; her sisters, Maryann House and Dorothy Giffin.
