The City of Mount Vernon is moving to remove legal advertisements from the Mount Vernon News.

Mount Vernon City Council voted to approve more than $950,000 in supplemental appropriations coming from three separate grants during its Oct. 9 meeting. The grants will be used to fund water system improvements and support the MERIT Drug Court.
