Knox County Jail's security retrofit project is expected to finish next week following recent updates at a commissioners' meeting.

Knox County Sheriff Daniel Weckesser announced at an April 9 meeting that two new canines are undergoing specialized training for drug detection, tracking, and patrol duties.

Knox County Sheriff Daniel Weckesser informed the Knox County Board of Commissioners during their August 28 meeting that his department will conduct regular searches using K9 units at the Knox County Jail.
