The Chautauqua Series is returning in September. Put on hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, the series resumes its 14th season on Sept. 9 at the Grand Hotel, 12 Public Square in downtown Mount Vernon.

Mount Vernon City Council gave its permission for the city’s Engineering Department to seek bids for the first phases of its Clintonville sewer and stormwater project designed to cut the overflow at a nearby lift station.
