Mount Vernon’s Marissa Rutter had a huge day a the Ohio Cardinal Conference track and field meet, winning the conference title in three events and a silver in another. She has had an incredible season and this time out gave her the Mount Vernon News Athlete of the Week Award for the second time.
Marissa Rutter was recognized for her dominance on the track by being named Ohio Cardinal Conference Runner of the Year, after earning 49 points in the OCC meet to lead the Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets to a runner up finish.
