DANVILLE — The Danville Blue Devils trailed Mansfield Christian, two sets to one, and were behind by 12 in the fourth set. Fans in Danville’s gym began packing up and preparing to head for the exit.

The Blue Devils had other plans.

They rallied to win that fourth set, then played neckand- neck with the Flames in Set 5. When the roller coaster ride finally ended, Mansfield Christian came out the victor, 9-25, 25-21, 25-14, 26-28, 1513. But no one in the gym felt like a loser.
