Scots score early to win first ever match

While other Highland freshmen are still getting adjusted to life in high school, Brooke Ratliff was making school history.

Ratliff became the first person to score a goal in the history of Highland High School varsity soccer. Her goal held up until the Fighting Scots began pouring it on in the second half Friday, defeating Galion, 6-1, at Fishburn Family Field.

Wiley gets hat trick in Highland debut

Friday night was a special night for Highland sports fans. For Vinnie Wiley, it was a night he won’t forget.

The Highland senior scored the first goal in Fighting Scots boys soccer history, then went on to record Highland’s first-ever hat trick as the Scots defeated Galion, 5-1, in their first-ever varsity match.
