HOWARD — William E. “Bill” Green, 69, of Howard, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Country Court Nursing Home.

He was born June 7, 1944, in Graysville, Ohio, to the late George D. and Mildred D. (McCollum) Green.

Bill was a self-employed construction worker and served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and especially karaoke.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda (Wells) Green; a daughter, Vickie (David) Beardsley of Mount Vernon; two sons, Greg Green and Chris Green both of Columbus; two brothers, Richard Green of Florida and Jack (Joyce) Green of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Betty Christensen of Tennessee and Kay (Mel) Miller of Mount Vernon; a granddaughter, Ashley Beardsley; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kaylin, Caleb and Braydon Wade; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Don Green; and two sisters, Shirley Yocum and Norma Meadows.

Friends may call Monday, from 5-8 p.m., at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St. in Mount Vernon. Family will observe private burial.
