MOUNT VERNON — Charles L. Pedigo, 63, of Mount Vernon, died Thursday evening, Feb. 27, 2014, at his residence doing what he enjoyed most, working on the farm.

He was born Nov. 4, 1950, in Columbus, to the late Charles W. and Mary L. (Mager) Pedigo. He was a 1968 graduate of Franklin Heights High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was a retired salesman for Frito-Lay with 24 years of service, retiring in 1999.

Charles treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed sprint car races, working on the farm and cutting wood.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anna (Dickenson) Pedigo and they were married July 28, 1982, in Columbus; sons, Charles Edward Pedigo of Centerburg, Derrick (Misty) Wharton of Cardington, Gary (Tracie) Casey of Centerburg; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Chris (Gary) Hatcher of Mount Vernon.

Friends may call Wednesday, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Hone, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tim Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.
