By winning the tournament they qualified for the USSSA National tournament to be held in July. The team’s next tournament is in Marion this weekend. Lawrence walkoff lifts Brenneman to win

Skylar Lawrence had a walkoff hit to left in the bottom of the sixth inning that helped propel the Brenneman Lumber baseball team to the 5-4 win over Griffin Insurance in the Mount Vernon Baseball Association City Tournament winner’s bracket finals.

John Wareham/News The Fredericktown Community Fire District dive team searches the Kokosing River near Caves Campground this morning for a man who possibly drowned. A woman was rescued from the river after a tubing incident. Personnel from FCFD, Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

With the search still ongoing for the missing teen in the Kokosing River near Hazel Dell Road, EMS and rescue crews face a group of difficult challenges when searching a moving body of water for a person.
