Harris steps down as Land Bank president

The Knox County Land Bank (Land Reutilization Corp.) accepted the resignation of now-former President Jeff Harris on Friday to avoid any appearance of impropriety, while also accepting $88,825 as its share of fees assessed by the county for late property tax payments.

Fredericktown walks off in extras over Highland

With two runners aboard and one out in the eighth inning, Fredericktown’s Lincoln Cunningham stepped into the batter’s box and, after spoiling off several pitches, he sent a ball into right field to score Brady Williams to give the Freddies a 6-5 win over Highland on Friday.

Black vultures make cattle owners wary
