After only trailing by three after the first quarter, the Mount Vernon Jackets offense ran into a tough defense that turned into quick points for Watkins Memorial Monday and the Warriors ran away with a 68-37 win.
Saturday morning, while Fredericktown Freddies’ girl’s basketball coach Tim Maceyko was preparing for his team to host the Cardington Pirates (15-1, 12-0 KMAC), his daughter, Allie Maceyko, received a text from Kynlee Edwards.
The Centerburg Trojans and Utica Redskins both competed in the Division III Region 21 dual team tournament Saturday in Centerburg, but both teams were eliminated in the first round against higher-seeded competition.
