Bulldogs rally for playoff victory

The East Knox Bulldogs’ defense made the big plays when it counted. Down 20-0, halfway through the third quarter, the Bulldogs’ defense got three big stops on defense and scored three touchdowns to nip the Seneca East Tigers, 21-20, in Friday’s OHSAA region 22 semifinal playoff at Harding in Marion on Friday.

Fredericktown spikers advance to DIII regionals

It may have been a sweep, but they had to fight for it in a tough second set. The top-seeded Fredericktown Freddies volleyball team won their OHSAA DIII District Final, defeating the Northridge Vikings in straight sets, 25-17, 25-21, 25-14, at Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Ariel Arena.

East Knox comes up short in district

The East Knox Bulldogs’ volleyball season came to an end on Tuesday, as the top seeded Delaware Christian Eagles swept them in their sectional Division IV tournament matchup, 25-14, 25-18, 25-15, at Worthington Christian Middle School.

The Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets (5-3, 2-2 OCC) awakened in the second half, scoring 28 points in the third quarter to thump the Madison Rams (0-8, 0-4 OCC), 48-22, in their Ohio Cardinal Conference matchup on Friday.
