Park District issues river warnings

The Knox County Park District has erected two “No Swimming, Dangerous Undercurrent” signs within the past week to warn people away from the Honey Run Waterfall’s access to the Kokosing River. The river is connected to the waterfall by a walking path.

Area schools formulating plans to return

Last Thursday, Gov. Mike DeWine released state guidance for the reopening for K-12 schools this upcoming fall. Much of how the school year will look will be in the hands of local school boards of education in partnership with their local health departments.

Summer, emergency grants available through Food For The Hungry

Churches, groups and organizations were quick to respond to the emergency food needs of Knox County residents as Ohio embraced Gov. Mike DeWine’s Stay at Home orders. As the orders change and families adjust to fluctuations in work and school schedules, Food For The Hungry, with support of local partners, will be offering a second round of grants.
