FREDERICKTOWN — Dorothy Lee Frazier, 86, of Fredericktown, passed away Jan. 8, 2020, at Country Court Skilled Nursing Center. Dorothy, a lifelong resident of Fredericktown, was born at home on Oct. 30, 1933, to Carl and Evelyn (Gibbons) Frazier.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and her younger brother, Earnie Frazier.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Bertha; two nieces; three nephews; nine great-nieces; six great-nephews; six great-great-nieces; and one great-great-nephew.

She was a member of the Fredericktown Church of Christ.

Dorothy was a graduate of Fredericktown High School and worked in her early years at Memorial Hospital in Mount Vernon. She loved to knit and crochet and made sure that every family member had a warm blanket. She enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, was an avid reader and cat lover, and a collector of Bingo bucks.

A graveside service at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dorothy’s caregivers at Country Court—they were like family to her.
