MOUNT VERNON — Candace J. Merillat, 38, of Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1981 in Mount Gilead, the daughter of Monty Miracle and Shelba Miracle. Candace was a 2000 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and was recently employed with Armstrong Steel Erectors Inc. in Newark.

It’s impossible to describe Candace in a simple obituary, but we could start by saying she was a ball of energy, a best friend, a coach, a mentor, someone that always brought a smile to your face, the life of the party or that one person you could always count on; but most of us would describe her as a loving and dedicated mother. Candace was so many things to so many people, but those that knew her, know it was all motivated by the love she had for her children.

She was loved by many and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Candace is survived by her children, Tonya Merillat, Kate Merillat and Tyler Merillat, all of the home; her parents; a brother, Damien Miracle; and sisters, Krista Bartram and Kylee Miracle.

Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held Friday beginning at 11 a.m. The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Candace J. Merillat.
