COLUMBUS — Wyatt Hornsby, a junior at Highland High School, led area players with his selection to the Third Team defense as a linebacker in Division IV when that and the Division V football All-Ohio teams were announced Monday by a statewide media panel. Teams were selected by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

Hornsby was the Scots’ top tackler on the season with 64, which included nine tackles for loss. He also broke up three passes, forced four fumbles and recovered two.

Hornsby’s teammate, Jack Weaver, was named Special Mention as a running back, and Utica’s Ethan Adams earned the honor as a receiver.

Johnstown earned one First Team accolade, as senior Jake Lusk was named as a defensive lineman. Running back Wes Myers was a Third Team choice, and offensive lineman Wyatt Walton, defensive lineman Stew Davis, linebacker Luke Schlagheck and punter Cole Workman earned Special Mention.

The Division II and III teams will be announced today. The Division I All-Ohio team and the Ohio Mr. Football Award will be announced Wednesday.
