MOUNT VERNON — Gary L. “Hollywood” Harding, 68, of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at Country Club Care Center. He was born May 12, 1951, in Mount Vernon, the son of John and Helen (Agnew) Harding. Gary previously worked at Chattanooga Glass before retiring from Sanoh in Mount Vernon.

Gary was a proud and faithful member of the Southside Breakfast Club and always enjoyed the open air of riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife Kathie (Staats) Harding whom he married on June 4, 1993; a son, Jamie (Jamie) Harding of New Eagle, PA; a daughter, Amy Bullington of San Diego, CA; step daughters, Brandie (Chris) Davisson of Granville and Robyn (David) Shepherd of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren, Cadence and Cooper Harding, John and Denise Bullington, Patrick and Jake Curtis and Ethan Shepherd; a sister, Kathy (Girard) Galetto of Lincoln Park, MI and special cousin, Chuck (Jeannie) McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
