MOUNT VERNON — Perry H. Bricker Jr., 89, of Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, at the Country Club Retirement Campus. He was born Oct. 4, 1930, in Millwood, to the late Perry and Devilla (Devore) Bricker Sr.

After graduating from Howard High School, Perry joined the United States Army and served his country for four years. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Mount Vernon for over 20 years. Perry was a gun collector and enjoyed antique firearms overall.

He is survived by his children, Ed (Dama) Bricker, Rita (John) Wantland, Klouse Bricker; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen Bricker, Max (Evelyn) Bricker; a sister, Leona Blubaugh; a brother-in-law, Ed (Linda) Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Perry is preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Bricker, and a sister, Persia Rhodes.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. with an hour prior of visitation from 2-3 p.m. at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall; 189 Mansfield Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050, with Paul Kerr officiating.
