MOUNT VERNON — A Mansfield man was located late Friday and is safe after being reported missing early that morning.

Jarrod Olson, 29, Mansfield, was reported missing by his wife. She said he was in a distraught state of mind and left sometime overnight Thursday. The Mansfield Division of Police and Mount Vernon Police Department were both involved in the search for Olson.

At 9:15 a.m. Friday, Olson’s vehicle, a silver 2016 Jeep Renegade, was located at a family member’s home on the south side of Mount Vernon. An investigation by MVPD revealed the vehicle was unoccupied and Olson was nowhere to be found. A loaded handgun was discovered missing and Olson was believed to have left the area on foot.

According to the Mansfield Division of Police’s Facebook page, Olson was located around 9 p.m. Friday.

MOUNT VERNON — The Mansfield Division of Police and Mount Vernon Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Mansfield man reported missing early Friday morning.

According to the Mansfield police, Jarrod Olson, 29, was reported missing by his wife, who advised he was in a distraught state of mind and left sometime overnight Thursday. Olson is described as 5-foot-6, 160 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

At 9:15 a.m. Friday, Olson’s vehicle, a silver 2016 Jeep Renegade, was located at a family member’s home on the south side of Mount Vernon. An investigation by MVPD revealed the vehicle was unoccupied and Olson was nowhere to be found. A loaded handgun was discovered missing and Olson was believed to have left the area on foot.

According to a spokesperson with the Mansfield Division of Police, Olson’s whereabouts were known at approximately 8:30 p.m. and that he should be located shortly.
