MOUNT VERNON — William P. Wagner, 80, of Mount Vernon passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 19, 1939, in Mount Vernon to the late Robert and Wilma (Brown) Wagner.

Bill worked at Chattanooga Glass, Cooper-Bessemer for many years. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and giving family and friends rides in the side cart. Bill enjoyed painting, but mostly he loved being around his family.

Bill is survived by three sons, William (Marie) Wagner of Newark, Donald (Melissa) Wagner of Howard, Daniel Huffman of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Valentina Stiltner of Mount Vernon, Tonja (Eric) Campbell of Newark; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry Wagner; and three sisters, Clarice Bell, Sherri Butler, Beverly Martin; numerous nieces, nephews and his loving pets, Precious and Lilly.

Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Grace (Huffman) Wagner; and a granddaughter, Danielle Nicole Tom; and an aunt, Bernadette Cunningham.

Family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 18, from 5-7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A private family service will take place at a later date. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
