MOUNT VERNON — Courtney L. Hinger, 29, of Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at Knox Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 28, 1990, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the daughter of Craig and Sherry (Scott) Hinger. Courtney was a 2008 graduate of Mount Vernon High School where she was a member of the FFA. She also belonged to the local 4-H, served as a volunteer for Serendipity Farms and was a member of First Church of God in Fredericktown.

Besides her father she is survived by her daughter, Jaydean Hinger; a sister, Brandy Smalls of Fredericktown; maternal grandmother, Kay Fry of Mount Vernon; paternal grandfather, Tom Hinger of Fredericktown; nieces, Macayla Smalls and Leah Smalls; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Courtney was preceded in death by her mother; maternal grandfather, George Scott; and paternal grandmother, Sharon Hinger.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday at Flowers -Snyder Funeral Home, Mount Vernon. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with Pastor Richard Prater officiating. The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Courtney L. Hinger.
