TITUSVILLE,FL — Calvin “Papa” Earl Groves was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Earl and Hattie Groves on July 21, 1928.

He passed away peacefully Wednesday Oct. 23, 2019 at the age of 91. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Erythe and Red Groves. Also his wife, Yvonne Mae Beak; and his children, Rory Lynn, Cindy Lynn and Jeffrey Lynn.

He is survived by his brother, Clint; son, Daniel Lynn; daughters-in-law Cheryl (Moore) and Marylin (Kofod); granddaughters Salena Lynn Keyes and April Lynn Groves; as well as his grandsons, Keenan Lynn Groves, Gideon Lynn Groves and Timothy Lynn Galligar.

Calvin graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was proud to have served as a Marine in World War II and The Korean War. Known as Papa to anyone he met, he was always jovial and kind hearted, a big teaser and lover of laughter and goodwill. He dedicated his life to his family, his career in the Aeronautics and Space Industry and to the Blessed Lamb Jesus Christ.

He will be lovingly missed by his family, many great-grandchildren, friends and extended family.

A special thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospice Care in Titusville, FL, for their exceptional quality of care and great consideration of Papa as he departed to be with his Savior.
