MOUNT VERNON — Pauline W. Champer, 92, of Mount Vernon, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019. She was born April 23, 1927, in Minerva, the daughter of Charles and Floy (Knox) Willett.

Pauline retired in 1991 after 18 years of employment as an inspector with Sherwood Manufacturing in Alliance. Pauline attended the First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be sadly missed by her family.

She is survived by her children, Carol Jones of Louisville, Kentucky, Lester (Vicki) Champer of Shelby and Caren Champer of Pingree Grove, IL; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Anne) Willett of Tallmadge, and Earl (Betty) Willett of Newport Ritchey, FL.

Besides her parents Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Champer, in 2013; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Champer; two brothers, Clyde Willett and Ray Willett; two sisters, Mary Sell and Helen Tschantz.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. F.H. Bolerjack will be officiating. Entombment will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
