MOUNT VERNON — The Teen Advisory Council of Knox County, in partnership with the Knox County Board of Developmental Disabilities, is hosting a photography contest for all Knox County students grades six through twelve. The contest creates a voice for Knox County middle and high school students and encourages critical dialogue about important issues that impact Knox County.

Students may submit photos related to any/all of the following categories: Diversity, Childhood, History, Hope, Despair, Imagination (digitally assisted), Everyday Heroes and Inclusion. All photos must be taken within Knox County to be considered.

Photo submissions must be received no later than Nov. 1. One finalist will be chosen in each category. Students may submit one photo in each category for consideration. Eight finalists will be placed on Knox DD’s Facebook page Nov. 15 for public voting to determine the overall winners. Voting will close at midnight on Nov. 30.
