MOUNT VERNON — Join the Knox County Park District for Pumpkins in the Park at Wolf Run Regional Park, 17621 Yauger Road Saturday, Oct. 19, 6-8 p.m.

This event will feature carved pumpkins illuminating the trails on a fall night hike through the park. The public is invited to attend as well as to participate by donating a carved pumpkin for the display. Pre-registration is only required for those individuals who choose to donate their carved design. Drop off for the pumpkins will be Friday evening, Oct. 18, from 5-6:30 p.m. preceding the Pumpkins in the Park event. The public is invited to view the lighted trail Saturday as it illuminates the park from 6-8 p.m. Prizes and food will be available.

To pre-register a pumpkin donation (one per person) visit https://knoxcountyparks.org/events/pumpkins-in-the-park/ or go to www.knoxcountyparks.org and click on the Events tab for October and locate the event details. Participants will receive a confirmation for them to bring to the drop-off on Oct. 18 at Wolf Run Park. Participants are asked to take a photo of their creation and submit it to the email provided as these will be posted on the Park District’s Facebook page. The community is invited to vote on their favorite pumpkin via Facebook postings. Please join the Park District in this fun-filled evening.
