FREDERICKTOWN — A Fredericktown man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday.

Jason B. Ratliff, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Ohio 95, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol reports.

Ratliff was riding a motorcycle westbound on 95 at approximately 2:54 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right side of the road, striking two trees.

Ratliff was not wearing a helmet, the patrol reports.

The crash remains under investigation.

The patrol was assisted on scene by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Fredericktown Police Department, Fredericktown EMS and the Knox County Coroner.
