MOUNT VERNON — John E. Beach, 67, of Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born on June 22, 1952, in Mount Vernon, the son of Cecil and Flora (Rine) Beach. John proudly served in the United States Army and retired from LB Manufacturing in Mount Vernon.

He is survived by his wife Betty (Forrest) Beach whom he married Aug. 7, 1973; two daughters, Rhonda (David) Starmer of Mount Vernon, Becky (Ronald) Rahn of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Spencer Beach of Killbuck, Jim Beach of Millwood; three sisters, Pam Avery of Minnesota, Diana O’Dell of Mount Vernon and Sue Ervin of Walhonding.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Beach.

Friends may call Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will begin at 5 p.m.
