BUTLER — Wilma J. Conley, 81, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born Aug. 6, 1938, in Mount Vernon, the son of James and Violet (Atkins) Gullett. Wilma was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Wilma was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished the time she had with her family, rather it was a picnic, a birthday party or gospel music concert, Wilma always enjoyed having her family around her.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Chester Conley; her children, Brenda (Tim) Poole of Mount Vernon, Tim Hauger of Mansfield, Mark (Lisa) Hauger of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and CJ (Joy) Conley of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Joan (Dwight) Stryker of Mount Gilead; and lifelong friends Dick and Linda White of Mount Vernon.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Hauger, a sister, Patricia Gullett, and a brother, David Gullett.

Friends may call on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050, where a funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. Pastor Dwight Stryker will be officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
