Joshua Morrison/News Nearly 500 members of the Class of 2023, along with friends and family, were welcomed to Kenyon College at the Opening Convocation held at the Kenyon Athletic Center on Sunday.

Convocation welcomes Kenyon freshmen

For nearly two centuries, the Opening Convocation ceremony at Kenyon College has set the academic tone for first-year students, as it did Sunday morning for 488 freshmen and 10 transfer students welcomed to the college for the Opening Convocation’s 196th academic year.
